The Matte Black is SO WORTH IT. I already have gloss black, but I couldn't pass up a plain black surface after begging for it for years. RS said they didn't want to make one until they could get it perfect, and this was worth the wait. MINIMAL editing, I didn't have to struggle to edit out lighting and glares. There weren't any. I haven't ever been this excited to use a surface before.

I needed a darker background for some photos for a cookbook shoot. Omg! RS was everything and more than I expected. The set got quite messy and wet and the surfaces stood up well, no staining, scratches, or water damage. I paired the slate background with weathered wood for some of the images and the butcher’s block for others and they look amazing! I am totally besotted with RS!

I love this surface! I take food photos and have been slowly collecting Replica Surfaces to add more range to my photography. These surfaces are easy to clean, set up and look beautiful in photos. Absolutely thrilled with this product! We got these small staging blocks which helps tremendously. Only downfall is that they are wooden blocks which tend to slide and actually ended up scuffing the marble surface I had purchased. While these blocks are incredibly helpful, I think maybe a silicone type block would be more beneficial with sliding and scuffing. Photos come out great! It's really all about the angle and lighting. This has really helped launch my body products business!

Even though I know the wood isn’t real, I found myself running my hand over it anyway! It looks as real out of the box as it does in my photos. The colors in wine cask were perfect for many of my products, and added a warmth I was so pleased with. I really need a rustic, neutral dark wood surface—like maybe a dark walnut that would work for natural/farmhouse style photos. But since that's not available, I decided to try Wine Cask & Worn Bronze. Though the Worn Bronze isn't wood, I'm able to adjust the photos or photo-taking, so it can mimic wood, concrete, metal, OR fabric. I love that it's so versatile! And the Wine Cask is just gorgeous. Seriously LOVE them both!

Love the eerie view for a horror movie prop done on a 3D Printer. It truly gives a spooky feel to photos and videos. I was having second thoughts after ordering because I thought I would not get enough use from it, but I think it will be more versatile. Very happy with it upon arrival and have shot several different subjects with it. I think having seasonal surfaces is important to add atmospheric tones and evoke emotion.

I am so excited to try this surface! I am constantly on the hunt for a white background that doesn’t look cool-toned in the shadows of the design, and I think this white background will have enough texture to look interesting without making the photo feel cool overall.
