We had the opportunity to use the Direction Desk for a while and we even showcased it at the 2022 Interior Design Show in Toronto. The desk arrived fairly quickly in 2 separate boxes. The complete experience of purchase to assembly was perfect .. thanks to Philzen.com and AMQ/Steelcase. Honestly, I was fully expecting either some parts to be missing/damaged/faulty and/or instructions to be inadequate etc. But have been pleasantly surprised. Spacious and looks good! They didn't have the 60" so I opted for the 71"----thank goodness! This desk looks fantastic; somewhat minimalist which I love for a cleaner aesthetic. I love the fabric, but the cover seems too large for the ball. You can see a ridge near the bottom and then 3/4 of the way down. I think it is because the ball doesn't stretch out the fabric any. I may be wrong, but it doesn't seem as snug as I thought it would be.

I am so glad that I found this chair. I sit like a goblin all day and I just knew I won't have functional knees in five years if I kept doing it. The AMQ chair is made of high quality and provides a modern design to your office space (my space isn't quite finished yet), and is a 4/5 stars for comfort. The chair is very comfortable for hips and back while sitting for art projects. My desk is low so I really didn't need the foot ring. I am getting used to the larger base so the wheel area does not his my feet. The wheels move the chair very smoothly on my wooden floors. I really like the way the chair smoothly swivels and leans back. The adjustments are very easy to use. The chair is well designed.

The chair is great for when you are typing and focusing on getting work done, but it is not as great if you are taking a 30 minute break and trying to lean back and relax. I very much enjoy that the chair moves with me and that I am not stagnantly sitting all day long. I love that the chair was sustainably made and I plan on keeping it forever!
