I really liked the série: Merchants of Virtue, Voyage of Malice and Land of Hope. I have the first book but I mainly used the audiobooks, enjoying Mr Pickering’s great reading skills. For full disclosure I received a review copy of this book from the author but regardless this is my honest assessment of the book. Although this is the fourth book in the Huguenot Chronicles the book can be read as a standalone book as the author makes a good job of introducing the characters, and you soon get to know them. I have read the whole series and followed the lives of the Delpech family with interest. This story was not mainly about them however, but about friends they made,yet I was still able to catch up on their lives. Religion has been the cause of so many wars.
