With a little parental guidance my 5 year old and 8 year old were able to play on the basic rules (minus gems) and had a blast in all forms from molding to battling to squishing. Photo shows the final results of their first game. Looking forward to playing advanced later on.

The little kids get to mold monsters to fight, stab and squish. The bigger kids graduate to the battle box and learn the rules, because who doesn't love rolling dice? And then we grown-up kids add in Call to Arms and make things really interesting... Not a single regret with this purchase. Terribly fun all around.

I got this for my child for having straight A's all school year. We saw the demos at Adepticon and fell in love with the idea! Now playing it, it is exactly what we were looking for to introduce our 11 year old to the world of war gaming. However it is perfectly balanced that my husband doesn't feel like he is playing a "kiddie" game.

6 year old and myself both love the game, everyone has access to the same models so armies are balanced but customizable, for fast games we use 2oz containers of play dough

Necromolds, has been a great hit with my kiddo. It's nice having a wargame that a child can play that is still interesting for an adult. Plus the golems are so satisfying! The sculpts look great, and it's just *fun* to have little monsters you don't have to be precious about because they are all destined to be squished.

Necromolds is definitely a fun time! Whether you are playing with the full rules and all expansion or you just have the base box and are playing "just make monsters then squish 'em." I have the base game, Call to Arms, the 4 player expansions, and 2 monster expansions and it's a really enjoyable time with my friends during our game nights. I definitely plan on getting the remaining explains I'm missing and any future ones when they come out.

Bought this for our family game night and it was an absolute blast. My daughter didn’t care if she one or lost cause smashing the monsters is so fun. It’s clear the creators put a lot of love into the game and it really shows. Already bought more spells books and excited to keep adding to the collection.

Played our first match last night. The creation of the minis was so much fun that we enjoyed joking about the little mistakes that come with the first molding. The start of the match was a mad dash to the middle losing almost all of our mud mumps in the first few turns leaving a wall of clay in the center line. After that there was a drawn out ranged combat which took us each to the last monster that comcluded with a glorious victory. The whole match to around 90 minutes, molding took about 20is...

Showed my son a video of people playing necromolds on youtube and he same calmly, "Oh, I like that, I really like that", so I picked the game up. He absolutely loves it, and the rules work really well. Lovely introduction to Wargaming for kids, but with enough meat to satisfy the adults.

Easy for my 9-year-old to understand, but it’s also quite easy to adjust rules up or down as needed. Great entry into “mini” tactical war gaming. Best part? Smashing your vanquished foes is sooo satisfying. Highly recommended. Call to Arms expansion highly recommended as well.

I absolutely adored the concept of this game when I first saw it on Kickstarter, but had unfortunately missed the boat. I'd been keeping an eye on it ever since and jumped on the chance to grab it when the updated release came around, and I do NOT regret it! First of all I’ve been playing Wargames for 22 years now, even have designed and sold some of my own games, and this game has it all. Easy and engaging have my kids play, and as an adult I can’t believe I never thought of a game where you get to mold your own monsters. First game was a ton of fun. Smashing the creatures helps keep attention on the game with short attention span children. It feels like a lot to learn when you first play especially for people without Warhammer/wargame experience but Once they start playing the rules are intuitive and the game is very engaging despite the simplicity.

My son and I have been looking for a good entry level minis game that could grow with us, but started with some meat on its bones. This did it and then some. We had the best time. Fun game, even for those that have played more complex table top war games in the past! Quick and easy rules to learn and explain. The gem economy with units getting smashed really kept games from becoming a steamroll, even when we tried doing a three player game. A lot of fun, and the games go fairly quick so you can get a few in at a time potentially.

This game is way too good! It’s like an even simpler version of any table top war game with playdough! It reminds me of games you could find at toys r us in the 90s and early 2000s so the level of nostalgia is really high! It’s really easy to learn as well takes only like 10 minutes of reading the rules!

Amazing wargame and has quickly become a favourite within our collection. The base game is very well balanced and the tiers to the rules make it suitable for anyone, I have taught a few other friends how to play with ease. Really brought alive by having a monster pack, the game's only downside is that we can't get enought of it! At current I'm sat at having played about 15 games over six months and I'm now getting a slight itch to grab more content, you get a lot of bang for your buck :-)
