Center bar buckles look really good. Their symmetrical appearance reminds me of what I'd draw belts like as a child. Was disappointed that all the belts I've worn until now have the asymmetrical leather loop to stuff the excess belt into.
The belt buckle being what holds it down is a huge improvement.
