I called the phone number on the website, spoke to a sales person (I do not remember his name). He told me that the unit that I was asking about was 100% designed for outdoor use and has a good IP rating (the website is unclear as to what the IP rating meant). However, when I received the product, it was clear that it is not made for the outdoors. I have kept the product as I had already opened the box and taken pieces out, so cannot return without admin and shipping costs.
