False Advertisement
I know the title may seem harsh, but it’s exactly what this is—false advertising. I purchased this table based on the company’s claim that it was made from sturdy walnut wood—a direct quote from their website. Nowhere did it mention chipboard or any other material. That description was the sole reason I chose this product.
Upon arrival, I unpacked it and immediately saw that it was not what was advertised. I was misled and mis-sold an entirely different product. To make matters worse, their return policy states that the package must be unopened to qualify for a return, meaning I am now stuck with a substandard table I wouldn’t have bought in the first place. If I wanted a chipboard table, I wouldn’t have spent over £250.
I contacted customer service, and while Michelle was polite, the company has failed to follow up. I was promised a response within 72 hours—it’s now been a week with no reply. I have been patient, but silence speaks volumes.
The concept of the table is great, but the execution and transparency are deeply disappointing. I will be pursuing this further, but others should be warned—this company does not deliver what they promise.
I’m happy re revisit this review once I get a reply but as it stands, these are my feelings.
