I ordered two items from this store for a total order of over $2000. The first, smaller item was received in reasonable time (though much longer than the stated 2-3 days on the website). It was received damaged with nails sticking out of the back but we fixed it ourselves.
The large 40x60 framed map took months to come and when it finally did was visibly damaged. When it did not come in the promised timeframe we asked for the shipping to be delayed because we would be away. I let them know our return date and asked for it to be delivered that week. We then had to wait 3 more weeks and given various excuses for the delay, none of which I believe to be true.
When it was finally ready, they said it would be hand delivered by a local courier. We were not given a time frame so I had to wait all day. When we unwrapped it, there was a large crack through the top of the frame extending down the back. The wire and frame structure is not nearly strong enough to support such a large picture so when we tried to hang it, it immediately started pulling apart.
We sent pictures and asked for it to be reframed but then decided given their track record, that would take far too long and would likely be done to a similarly poor standard so we asked for a refund on the framing portion of the item which we believe was a fair compromise. We continue to be asked silly questions about how we unwrapped it, did we add the wire (why would we add a faulty wire??), to suggest we were responsible. Clearly these are stall tactics with the intent on delaying and eventually refusing any compensation.
This company may have local framers that do an excellent job, but they clearly have no quality control over their local suppliers (our order was in Toronto) and refuse to help their customers when they receive a poor product. Their framing is also very expensive for what you get, so if you do really want a map from them, have it framed yourself which will be much cheaper and of higher quality.
In general I have found them to be a very dishonest company with a subpar product. We still are no closer to resolving this issue with them over a week after the damaged product was received which is why I have left this review
