It’s also possible that the strainer basket must be removed before activating the garbage disposal—but if that’s the case, it should be clearly stated in the instructions or product description. In any case, this is now the second strainer basket that has been ruined. Maybe we’re doing something wrong, but after many years of using Kohler sinks and strainers, we’ve never experienced this type of issue before. We would appreciate clarification, guidance on proper use.
