You need to provide specific information about the difference between framed and unframed. I had no idea that it meant it wasnt going to be stretched on a wooden backing and arrive rolled up in a tube! Who can paint that?? When you listed, unframed, I thought it meant no picture frame, not 'arriving rolled in a tube'! I purchased this as a gift and was unable to wrap it, let alone expect the receiver to paint it like that.

Overall, I am very happy. The quality of the kit really is superb. My only complaint are the constant emails and repeated requests for review immediately...before one has even had the chance to try it out. Pretty annoying and motivated me to discontinue emails from DIY. I have now reviewed the product of my own volition and in my own good time after actually beginning the kit.
