My dog was sort of in between a large and an extra large. Extra large looks like it would be a better fit. The large looked like it would be on the top of the range as far as being able to fit him so I ordered an extra large following the directions. It was too big and sloppy. They sent me a large at no cost and let me donate the one that didn't fit. The large came in. It was perfect with plenty of room to give so they do run a little big. Perfect customer service too. It was quick and efficient
