The first time I used it, it didn't pick up about half of my shots. I also put my phone down on the ground next to it, but it was laying in the sun and overheated, which disconnected it so it didn't record any of my shots. I have learned to keep my phone in my pocket or in the golf bag (out of the sun) so it will record, but that makes it a bit difficult if I want to see my spin rate for each shot.
