Disappointed Experience with a Colour Defect & Difficult Replacement Process
I was really excited to receive my Mellow Mat, however on opening it I immediately noticed a visible light pink stripe running through the mat, which is clearly a manufacturing or dye issue. This was very disappointing, especially given the premium price point and the expectation of a clean, neutral finish.
After raising this, I was asked to re-package the mat in order to receive a replacement. This was extremely difficult to do on my own due to the size, weight, and flexibility of the mat. As shown in the photos, it required significant effort to fold, compress, tape, and bag it without assistance, which I found quite unreasonable for a faulty item.
While I appreciate being offered a replacement, the process placed the physical burden back on the customer for an issue that was not caused by me. For a product of this size and cost, a more customer-friendly solution (such as collection, partial refund, or allowing the faulty item to remain) would be expected.
The mat itself feels lovely underfoot, but unfortunately the visible defect and the difficult replacement process have taken away from what should have been a positive experience.
