First things first, I love the packaging. The bag is creative, eye-catching, and the branding immediately pulls you in. You can tell thought went into the presentation, and that already set a good tone before I even opened it.
As soon as I opened the Banana Pudding bag, the smell hit me — and yes, it absolutely smells like banana pudding (or very, very close to it). If you’re familiar with banana pudding, you’ll instantly recognize the scent.
Now for taste — and just to be clear, this is a protein powder. I personally drink my protein with water, not milk. I’m not a milk person, and while I do use almond milk for cereal, I’m not at the point where I want to drink it straight. So water is always my base.
With that said… I like it. Actually — I love it.
Some people might say it’s a little gritty, and I can understand that, especially if you’ve tried other protein powders before. But compared to many I’ve had, this one is far more enjoyable. The taste is what really won me over.
Does it taste exactly like banana pudding? No.
Does it taste like a banana pudding–inspired version? Absolutely — and I love banana pudding, so that works for me.
It’s sweet, but not in an over-the-top, dessert-like way. It’s sweet for a protein powder, which is exactly what I want. It doesn’t taste like something you’re indulging in as a dessert, but it’s close enough to make it enjoyable and easy to drink.
Another big plus for me is that even though it’s vegan-based, it still includes vegan BCAAs and L-leucine already added, which I really appreciate. That’s a thoughtful formulation.
Overall, this Banana Pudding flavor is delicious, easy to drink with water, and one of the better-tasting protein powders I’ve had. I’ll definitely be finishing this tub — and I already plan on trying another flavor within the next month.
Highly recommend if you like banana flavors and want a solid vegan protein
