The hat is exactly like the hat my deceased brother wore and I had been wearing for two years-it went missing at an event. At first I had the wrong size and I promptly sent everything I needed including a specific request to not mail to the address they had on file for the exchange as I no longer lived in that state. I was clear about my not being there and to not mail the exchange to that address and provided the current and correct address in those communications with Stuart. After a few days and while I was on complex journey they sent me an unexpected request to make a purchase as they had treated it as a return and had refunded the amount,(even though it was the same amount) and needed the purchase to run the new amount. I did not spend enough time with the request and I hadn't realized that those communications would be entirely ignored and in the end the new order which I made in haste still had the same shipping info. I felt ridiculous when I realized what had happened and I reached out immediately and asked for the order to be amended or terminated on their end as it was going to cost me an additional $70+with UPS to change the shipping on my end. Real Irish never even responded to my request and in the end I got hosed for my mistake even though I had been so crystal clear during the my request for the exchange to not be shipped to that address. Provided, ignored, then ignored again. Grateful for the hat. Won't send anyone to this business though. I realize I made the final mistake by not checking all the details at the second unexpected purchase. But what I didn't do is ignore the request when it all hit the fan-they did. Crickets was all I got until this opportunity to review came. Could have gone a different way and there would have been great things to say about how they really saved the day and went the extra mile on a hat that was all I had left of my brother. I wish in a way I had just let it go when the hat was stolen. Any how, none of that here. Just a well made hat made somewhere else that many distributers can get to all parts of the world and one distributer that failed to even respond they could or couldn't comply with the request. Nothing. A panicked message followed by two more-ignored. Terrible experience
