We have bought Doka coffee for many years ever since we visited the plantation in Costa Rica. We have really enjoyed it even though it costs more than our previous purchases here in the U.S. However, it looks like the company may have been sold, the name changed, and the price raised by a lot. My last order cost the same for much smaller bags (I believe it went from 16 ounces to 12 ounces). We don't believe such a large increase is warranted. After much searching for years, I have yet to find better coffee than the doka peaberry. I visited back in 2010 and the quality hasn't changed. It's exceptional in my siphon brewer (and just happens to work the best in it). I dread the mornings away from home when I don't have it. It's also fun to not only be a single origin coffee drinker, but from one estate.

I did the coffee tour at Doka estate in March 2024 and purchased some packages of dark roast for me, family and friends. I really like the flavour of this rost. I mostly like that there is no taste of acid. So far I did not find another blend in Germany which is comparable to this, therefore I am continuing ordering dark roast from Doka.
