I bought this for myself. I loved it so much that I gave the same one to three friends as gifts. They all raved about it. There are a lot of inferior products on Amazon that use the same photos as this Manta Ray Automaton, but the contents are completely different. Wouldn't it be better to file a complaint?

I know the biggest question you're asking yourself is if this is actually really hand-carved wood and worth the money. Hands down this is the coolest gift I've ever bought for someone and the quality, craftsmanship, and mechanics are amazing. I'd also like to add that I was worried about it getting damaged in shipping but the Mariner Poet has made that impossible by using high density foam cut to house your automaton securely and safely to its destination.

its movement is amazing and starring at it makes me feel relaxed. only minor issue I see is the motor sound. It is really not a huge problem at all but it would have to be great if it has less motor moving sound.

The product is very well made, the quality of the wood and the end result is fantastic. The manta looks very cool when it is in motion. The product is almost entirely put together when it arrives, only the tail piece is manually attached. There is a very quiet hum when on, but it is hardly noticeable. Overall a fantastic gift.

this was a gift for my son. He usually collects octopus and elephants, but I found this was very good craftmanship and the flowing ray just looks superb. This picture is at his home- he loves it- he did mention that a lot of the reviews do not realize that the tail and frontal lopes that you provided with the screwdriver were taped to the very bottom --- would be a good idea to let clients know.
