I've gotten quite a few segmented scales from 285 Woodworks. I'm literally working on a set this weekend, on a skinning knife I built for a fella in NC. He gave the earlier one I built him to his dad, who loved it. It wore 285 Scales, as will this one I'm currently building him. This current review of a scale set is for a Damascus blade. This item was beautifully crafted and it was almost a shame to start cutting into such a nice piece! However, once I started, I found that it was quite simple to carve, and it shaped up easily and quickly.
