This is my first laser engraver and first time printing anything with a laser. This machine is a great entry level engraver. It’s only a 12 w and have only been engraving slate coaster.
I’m using Lightburn as it is very detailed intricate and has many features that have yet to learn. Don’t even try to use the Atom software because I don’t think is does half of what Lightburn does, JUST USE LIGHTBURN.

After calibrating, I haven’t done much yet, but what I’ve tried so far is absolutely amazing! I previously had a diode laser and already had some experience with engraving, but this takes it to a whole new level.
One thing I find unfortunate – and I believe this is possible with the xTool – is engraving on uneven surfaces, where the laser automatically refocuses during the job. That feature isn’t available yet, but otherwise: TOP!

The module was easy to install on my Atomstack A5 Pro laser machine. I've tried several types of plastic cases and lids just to get a feel for the best settings for power and speed and the Atomstack recommended settings have really helped in that regard.
