My dad got me the Player 1 Plus All Black colourway back in June, and then he got me the explosive and support midsoles in July. I really liked the shoes and being able to change midsoles whenever I felt it was needed. So I also got the Pure colourway in August and now I rotate between the two. I'll be only using Player 1 Plus shoes from now on in all my varsity and rep and prep games.

Very nice shoe …… Traction is unmatched and the shoe is responsive. Break in time was also shorter than I thought it would be. It’s got a Kobe feel but in my opinion better. I would definitely go true to size I went 10.5 and I got a little bit of room. Overall best shoe I have had since the Kobe nxt 360

Explosive midsole with supercritical foam. Takes a little bit of time to break in and I can't decide if I like these or the Support midsoles better. These are more bouncy and the Support midsoles are more plush in my opinion. Perhaps the next iteration can have a carbon fiber plate embedded within the foam for even more bounce.

It still amazes me on how SPO improved the traction in Player 1 Plus. I have no troubles stopping on a dime however I want with any court setting. This colorway definitely caught my eye so I had to cop immediately. I love the unique colorways they bring, and the similarities in performance with Kobe models.

These shoes are elite, particularly with the explosive drop-in midsole. As a size 12 wearer, both the size 12 and 13 fit exceptionally well. The traction is outstanding. I bought the sketch colorway first, and I was so impressed that I purchased the Joker and Ice Camo colorways in the same week. However, my only gripe is that the laces tend to come undone too often. These have been my go to hoop shoes.

I got a tip to get a 1/2 size up for the p1+, which for me ended up being too big. Once I returned those and got a 10 (true to size) everything fit like a glove and I finally got to play in them now that the fit is good and they were awesome. Maybe more padding/ wider laces to help with lace pressure, but honestly just getting the lace tension right worked fine. Non-wiping level traction is pretty crazy. Go true to size if you like a 1-1

34 years old. Great true to size fit, I am a 9.5 in Nike (Lebron 20s, KD15) flat footed and medium to slight narrow foot shape. Great traction, no tipping over. Was first concerned about how low to the ground they were but the explosive midsole provides enough bounce and impact protection.

Great shoes!! 9/10. If you want low to the ground, elite traction then this shoe is the one!!Reminds me of a kobe 9 on steroids!! If I could recommend 1 thing I'd like to see as an option it would be for the shoe to come with a little more cushion to be built into the shoe. Then when you add your drop in midsole you can have extra cushion and impact protection. I'm more of a 3 and D player so the court feel isn't my biggest priority. But overall incredible shoe!!!

The explosive midsole with player 1 plus is unreal. Bounce is crazy and lockdown still feels great. I tried it with my kobe 9s and it did feel like I lost a bit of court feel. However, with the player 1 plus, it was so much better than their normal strength/quick insoles!

Since i got my first pair last year(player one).played on it heavily i must say im very impress of what this brand could do.number 1 is the traction this shoe has a serious bite on it in any court dusty or not dusty this will still bite.plus its comfy doesn't hurt my feet(i have plantar fasciitis)they include extra pair of insoles too for your playing preferences.its light so you don't have to worry about having tired legs and all you can be all over the floor with this shoe!

Thought the fit was perfect for my regular foot shape. Didn’t have any hot spots from laces and foot didn’t slide within the shoe. Traction I didn’t know what to except but did not have to wipe and we play on a somewhat dusty high school court. Love these! Bought a pair of them and the player1 and both are elite. The benefits of the game1 to me is a little more support and cushion, with obviously a different foot feel which will be more of a personal choice. But you can’t go wrong with either. Traction on both is seriously a cut above the rest. I got socks too and they’re also elite 😂

I've been playing the in the P1P for some time now, amongst other brands/models. The P1P is a no nonsense on court performer. Outstanding lockdown and the top three eyelets are key for my skinny feet/ankles. Might I add, the Quick 2.0 drop in midsole is a must!

I love the shoes. Perhaps one very minor piece of feedback would be to have just a bit more padding around the heel collar, especially near the lace line. I say this only because I experience slight discomfort on my left foot, where there’s a bit of pressure on the inner, medial side of the heel cup. On the right side, I have no issue. There’s probably a slight asymmetry in my ankle shape, and if both sides felt like the right one, it’s unlikely I’d ask for more padding.

Love the swappable inserts to choose your individual level of court feel/cushion. I love how the laces go down further and that the tongue is well padded. As a husband small guard (5'8" & 175 pounds) I have to take advantage of my quickness to make am impact on the court so with that said I need something light, good traction, support for and the last but no less important cushioning. The Explosive midsole is solid. It’s extra bouncy and comfortable. SPO already has excellent drop-in midsoles with the Support midsoles and standard issued-midsoles that come with Player 1 Plus, but with Explosive, you can feel the bounce. If you are a heavier player (more than 200 lbs), your best bet is the Support midsole. The containment is stronger and you can feel the difference from the Explosive version. But if you are a lighter player, you will love there Explosive midsoles.

Best traction I’ve had in a long time. Lockdown was perfect and the lacing allowed nice adjustment to loosen in places that needed it and still be snug and no heel slippage. Cushion was good. Not super soft like the KD15 but good impact protection and still has good court feel. Can’t wait to see what’s down the road from SPO

As soon as they came out of the box, the look and feel of the shoes was even better than expected! Shoes were exact fit, the look was amazing, the comfort of the insoles and the traction by far are top 3 shoes I’ve ever worn.
