I’ve had a pair of actual French army surplus shorts before, and your product is close but has two issues. First, they are too long. Second, the legs are too tight. Unlike my old surplus shorts, these are not wide, and therefore are not well ventilated.

This piece is lightweight. Fit is accurate for XL w sleeves being a tad short on the wrist. Won’t have it tailored because to tailor sleeves is $45 & this thing was only $75.00.
