I tend to sleep hot and often toss and turn and wake up in the night throwing covers and clothes off of me. This blanket has changed the game. The silky side is always cool to the touch. Never gets too warm. And if I get too chilly, I flip the blanket over. The other side is a super soft plush knit that is a bit warmer but is also breathable so I never get too hot.
