Incredible disappointed. As you can see this is quite different to the advertised pic. It’s not a flat print it has a check running through it. This means I might now need to line my dress, something I hadn’t intended to do based on the pics and description on the website. Essential I have 6 meters of fabric I don’t like.

I have bought fabric from you on ma y occasions and when I saw you had luxury white cotton I was so pleased because I needed it for a project, so I was so disappointed when it arrived and it was lilac and very crisp and not luxury so I washed it and it softened yes but re.ained lilac, but you did refund my money which I was grateful for, but if you get any white cotton I will be interested.

I was a little disappointed with this fabric. I think the description could have been better. I was expecting a nice crisp cotton and a straight edge at the bottom of the border. The description on the bag says it is rayon Chikankari. The total length of the border is 19.5 cms and as I don’t want to have a V shape bottom of my skirt I will need to somehow turn that up because if I cut it the embroidery will unravel.

I think I was fooled by the photo of this bag of wadding scraps thinking that I was getting 3 bags full. What I actually did get is 3 small bundles tied with green ribbons. You get what you pay for - warning, this fabric is not colourfast! Lovely print, but... when pre-washed on a 60 degree cottons wash prior to cutting to make a 1930's dress, the colour faded badly and screen printing streaks are very visible on the fabric. Looks very 'old' now, after only one wash - glad I did prewash, rather than having this happen to a finished garment! Will still use the fabric, but for a different project. Poor quality fabric. Glad I didn't pay much for it. Buyer beware!
