I lanyard into my belt loops when climbing small diameter stuff. Not really- don’t do that. This wire core ticks all the boxes. I like the 2 way aluminum snap on a swivel. The Gibbs Klimair is convenient and I find tends easier than using a prusik in 2 directions.

I was wearing my new Protos helmet last weekend while conducting fire/flood mitigation in southern Utah. We were clearing tamarisk, Russian olive and cottonwood trees from a flood plain. A large cottonwood branch was dislodged from a tall tree and swung my direction. It struck my helmet, glancing off the upper side of the helmet, 2” above and in front of my right ear. Rope works good, I am mainly using a Blake’s hitch with an additional self tending Blake’s tied on the other side of the line and it works pretty good, definite wear on the rope already from the knot being tied in the same place, but I’m hopefully gonna be using a hitch climbing system soon to prevent some of that

I feel pretty special, as I got a call from the man himself (Donovan) about my order. I wanted to clarify the year of manufacture on my new Petzl, so he called and we discussed it.
I like the fact that you can get the helmet, visor and ear muff combo. I opted for the green Petzl as I'm going back to the older style helmet versus the Protos. Just a personal preference thing.
I'll be placing more orders with them very soon, they are great to work with.

This rope by far exceeded my expectations, I got the MRS kit and SRT equipment, this rope worked magnificent for both systems and in a natural crotch it performed great and looked almost brand new still after the day, it works with knots amazing BTW. Unfortunately, my experience with this company was very disappointing. The product I ordered in January took over two months to arrive, and it appears it was sold despite not actually being in stock.
