I'm an intermediate music teacher, we use ti rakau as percussion instrument to keep rhythmic timing and tempo. My students love merging traditional Māori games with contemporary music. The rakau are a good size for enhancing hand-eye co-ordination. They're sturdy, teen proof and have provided hours of engaging, entertaining education. Would definitely recommend.
