I wear bi lateral carbon fiber AFOs and these shoes fit them very well. I typically would wear a lady's size 8 (pre-AFO) but sized up, according to the chart, to an 8.5. The adjustable laces is a good thing for customizing the fit. The zipper moves easily. I had also purchased a pair of the rose gold sneakers. Bought these style shoes with zippers because they are so much easier to put them on and take off with my limited mobility. I wear a rigid TLSO spinal brace that immobilizes my spine from pelvis to base of my neck which makes it almost impossible to reach the floor.
