I bought this as an upgrade for my WorkSharp Professional Precision Adjust, and it's definitely a big improvement over the original WorkSharp stone holder. It even fits in the WorkSharp storage position. While it doesn't lock in place quite as securely as the original holder, it stays in position well enough to keep it there while flipping the blade. PDTools "Expert Pro" sharpening stones are very excellent. For me, there's nothing better. I can now sharpen any any steel hardness without any problems and achieve a professional-quality finish. Be careful, though; the edge becomes so razor-sharp that it can be dangerous for your fingers. It's an investment, but if you want quality, it's an excellent choice. I don't regret my purchase. This accessory isn't essential, but it greatly improves the stability of the sharpening angle. No more wobbling rod, the new column is securely attached to the support, and I can now be sure the angle is perfectly controlled. As mentioned in my 800 & 2k reviews, these stones differ from what I'm accustomed to. They feel excellent—hard, consistent, and precise—leaving a shallow scratch pattern. I strongly recommend removing the silver coating and conditioning the surface with a nagura stone periodically to keep the surface open. The 5k stone requires additional consideration. Great product! I already owned the premium CBN stones 50, 80, 150, 400 and 800 grit which I love, but I wanted to see how the premium diamond would perform. The premium diamond is a bit more aggressive compared with the CBN, I bought the 50, 120, 240 and 600 grit. When I received my sharpener, I was struck by how well it was packaged. You could immediately tell they put a lot of care into it, which is very nice, and I personally find this important. When I assembled the sharpener, there was 1 clamp that did not fit properly over the rail, the tolerance was too small.
