Nice variety of fabrics in the kit that I ordered. The pattern was easy to understand and execute. It took me some time but was definitely worth it. I love my Christmas Goose and so does my sister…she is threatening to steal it away to hang in her house! As a note, The piece of background fabric that was included was too small for my goose plus the wreath so I had to find another fabric.

Once again, Emily has created a stunning pattern that is surprisingly easy to complete. The Longwood fabric collection combined with the beautiful Swan makes an exquisite collage to use as a block in the Longwood quilt, or you could use the Swan on its own as a wall hanging, or turn it into a lovely oversized pillow to accent your living room. Without a doubt, it's one of my favorite patterns from Emily!

Fantastic free tutorial online and I bought the kit. The kit was great because, as beginner, my fabric selection was made perfectly for me. I was able to follow along and watch again. I made 2 pillow covers using the Christmas Cardinal and Partridge patterns.. I had a lot of fun doing the collages, picking out all the fabrics and piecing them together. I did have problems with the quilt stitching on my home machine. I bought nonstick needles and very strong variegated quilting thread but my machine did not like the freestyle foot I tried to use. I have always been a hand quilter. Overall, I am pleased with the results!

This was an easy pattern to follow. I decided to use carbon paper and traced the pattern on a 11x14 canvas board. SAS 2 lite was used to adhere the pieces. After completing the picture I used a hot, dry iron to set the pieces in place. The canvas board did not warp. I removed the glass from a 11x14 frame and hung it up. It was a fun project.
