I only started book 1 yesterday and am 100 pages in. The story is starting well. I cannot wait to see what is in store for Scott. I ordered the 4 books from here rather than a well know other seller and the books were delivered quickly and the author signed all 4 copies as well, which is a nice little touch.

I've read lots of fiction apocalyptic stories, but this one has some moving moments, and unlike some, the main charector wasn't superman, who could take on the world... and THE ENDING! It's the first book series I've read that put a tear in my eye at some points, and a smile on my face at the end.... can't tell you why, you'll know when you get there.

I loved it, I do think the main characters have a lot of luck on their side. But this is just book one. Great story line which could happen IRL. I have only started to read the first book but so far I find The Reed easy going. Trying to picture geographically where the actors are and what the theme is. I think I'll go ahead and purchase book number two as I already own book number three. Once I bought the first book in the Catalyst Series, it was like a full blown addiction. I finished the first book within two days. I couldn't wait to get home from work so I could continue reading. It was action packed. I love the characters. The worst part was that I had not ordered the complete series when I got the first one and then I had to wait to get the rest. Hard to put down! Action oriented and fast paced. Very realistic and full of pointers to getting myself prepared for an unforeseen event. The editing needs work and there was a missed reference once or twice but the action keeps you moving forward. Wonder how this story plays out from a perspective of someone without his access to information or without prepped friends. Still, can’t wait to read the next book.
