I love these shorts. As a larger lady (a 4x in shorts is preferred), they are a little snug around the waist, BUT I also ordered a size down from what I should be wearing (ordered 3x). I would definitely stick to your normal size...that being said...these shorts are SOOOOO comfy and the legs are roomy and I love love love the rips and tears and the antique look!!
