I want to needle felt a figure of my late dog, who was a tri-color (black, white, tan) and have been searching for the 'right' color for her facial markings. This color comes the closest to matching her photos. Also fairly new to needle felting, so was not familiar with how much 1/8 oz of wool is, but now I have a reference point. It should be just enough to do her markings, and now I know how much to order for future projects.

Sadly, I wasn't feeling well the past week or two. I got nothing done. However, I opened the box and fondled the wool. It is sooo soft and doesn't bother my skin! The colors are wonderful. I watched part of the solitary mushroom video (easy to follow, well paced for a beginner) and I think I'm going to attempt making that soon. ❤️

I have only made the mushroom statue so far but I did enjoy the process. Hopefully will get to make the picture soon. My only complaint is that the wool that was supposed to be scarlet was definitely darker than scarlet to the mushroom cap isn't as vivid as in the sample photos. Other than that I think the value of what was in the box was great and would try another one sometime.

I really enjoyed this! I had sculpted with wool roving before, but hadn't attempted "painting" with it. I especially appreciated Sophie's gentle reminders in the videos to relax and enjoy the process, because I did keep finding my shoulders were bunched up. Once I realized I was doing that, I found this lovely, much needed creative break to be calming and very enjoyable.
