My wife got me one for my birthday and have been using it everyday since. Keeps everything nice and easy to access.I don't have to be dig through my loose knife bag something. My wife also initially ordered me the pro version which is too big for my knives but customer service was more than willing to help and get an Original Mise En Block shipped out to me when they were back in stock in exchange for the pro block. I really enjoy the ability to access all my tools without having to open and close a large knife roll for each item, or put all the items I think I will need in a stainless pan to keep my workspace tight. This is great for that. It’s bulkier than a roll but more protective and much easier to use.

I love this product. I work in a few small kitchens and this keeps 7 of my most used knives along with all my go to accessories safe contained and at my fingertips. There are really only two things I wished were different. I wish it had space for a honing steel or ceramic rod and I wish the lid had a more secure closing. I'm afraid to use the strap to carry it because it doesn't have any kind of "lock" to keep it from twisting open. Other than that it's fantastic.

Mise en block is the perfect solution for me as someone who travels a lot and also cooks for small groups in remote and new kitchens.
