We recently had a new fence built and I wanted something different for our fence caps. I came across Madison Iron and Wood on a google search and ordered 14 caps from them. They came quickly and they look terrific! Easy to install too. The only issue with them is they do scratch easily. Maybe because I got the gloss black paint instead of the matte? Some had some minor scratches on them when I pulled them out of the box but honestly? Once they're in place you don't notice the scratches. ...

The post caps we ordered appear to be very good quality regarding construction, fit, and finish. One of the “cannon ball” finials does have a minor welding imperfection but that does not detract from the overall look. We would certainly order from you again should the need arise.

Although each post needs to be reworked to get the cap to fit, it looks GREAT and is getting compliments from the neighbors. These will certainly help protect the post tops from rot and decay.

i REALLY LIKE THE POST CAP. i THINK IT SHOULD ACTUALLY BE 4" X 4", HAD TO SHAVE DOWN EACH SIDE OF 4X4 POST CAP TO FIT. ALSO THE FIGURE NEEDS TO BE SCALED UP A BIT, LIKE MAYBE AN INCH OR 1.5 INCHES WIDER AND TALLER ALL THE WAY AROUND. THANKS

We purchased the 40 inch tree of life. It was for my wife for Christmas. It arrived early and she was very excited to see it. She wanted to set it up outside immediately but it is so well crafted it is now having a custom made metal post from her father for display in the front lawn. It is currently Winter in Wisconsin so no pictures or digging in the frozen tundra yet. Who knew that a custom metal sign would be a family event

The post caps look and work great. Some of my posts had split and I used a C-clamp to squeeze the post and then apply the cap. The cap then keeps the post from splitting.But measure posts carefully. I had to sand/file some of mine to fit the cap over the post.

I just updated my mailbox to the enlarged size now recommended by the USPS. I had to cut down my top post and move it back a bit to make everything work. The wolf post cap adds a bit of whimsy to the look and really sets it off. Same mailpost going on 37 years....
