Without naming names or bashing other drumstick companies I would just like to say I typically hit HARD and have gone through a pair of sticks or more in just 1 gig! My first experience gigging with Woodies I must say they really take a beating. I played an entire 3 hour gig with 1 pair of Woodies and they not only held up, I will be using the same pair at the next gig. Don’t sleep on these sticks! Durable and extremely comfortable.

These sticks feel just right for what I’m playing; they being front heavy helps me more easily play powerfully, the round tip gets clear articulation, and I get the sense (though I’ve only had them a short while) that they are very durable.

I’m super stoked with finding a decent pair of sticks. I’ve been a VF user for years, but wish these had of been available. I’ve been playing on the same pair of sticks for a solid 3 to 4 hours playtime and I’ve had minor marks or chipping. The durability of the sticks has been wonderful so far with my first pair. I’m very impressed with how well they are holding up and I’m enjoying the feel of them with a heaviness in the front and a lightweight in the back.

I will never go back to my old sticks. Woodies forever. I used to play Travis Barker Zildjian sticks, but, those are white and leave marks on your cymbals. I could never find similar sticks to those until I gave Woodies a try. I’m glad I did, because to be honest, I hesitated.

I have my upper battery using Woodies sticks. I have given them lots of choices from the big 3 plus Woodies. On their own, they gravitate to the Red Rock Its. I have yet to tape them. They have lasted a competition, football game, and 2 weeks of practices and sectionals. Durability isnt a question. They sound great. They feel like a cross of ScoJos (for velocity), Rennicks for control and Carters for response.

These are such great sticks; I’ve wanted a bit longer stick with a round tip and small taper for quite some time and even with all the options out there I haven’t been able to find anything. But I think one of the most important features is the finish of the sticks, they’re not painted or overly glossy. There is a dull kind of finish to them that makes them easier to grip when your hands sweaty. I love them. And Steve is literally one of the best human beings ever. Ever.

Great weight and grain strength, as a woodworker im well aware of the imperfect nature of wood and it unpredictability but these are a breath of fresh air in comparison to the big name brand product at much lower price. Both the Woodies 7A nylon and wood tip drumsticks are really nice for more intimate gigs where volume may need to be a little softer. The length provides some extra reach and short taper provides a really nice balance and feel. The nylon tip gives you a nice bright sound on the cymbals and the round wood tip also provides a great sound and response on cymbals as well. I feel these are great American hickory drumsticks at a great price.

Woodies sticks were a huge surprise to me. I’m hard on my sticks. I’m a heavy hitter and there’s not a pair of sticks that can withstand an entire show, till now. The new Woodies sticks that I’ve purchased took a 2 1/2 hour punishment and I think I can use them for another. I prefer the lights but don’t let the name throw you. The wood strength is durable. Something I struggle to find from the big-boy brands. The neck takes the abuse and the weight works with me. I will buy more soon.
