I was a little skeptical of this rod, however the excellent reviews persuaded me to but one. I am extremely happy with it and in fact I purchased another. I have it paired with a Daiwa BG MQ 6000 and it's a very strong and light combination. Hooked up to a 30 pound amberjack and though the fight took a little time, the rod performed just like they said it would. I'm now going to purchase the heavier model for targeting larger game.
