Super easy install. A little tricky to get the extra wire connectors tucked back away but the cover went back over no problem. Took a few attempts to get the device to show up on the Tesla's Bluetooth list but now it's good to go. Looking forward to our next trip and the kids can watch their own movies. Looking forward to future firmware updates to add Bluetooth headphones and being able to change temps from Celsius to Fahrenheit. In the meantime going to see if a USB A to 3.5 adapter will work ...

Well, the first steering wheel was the wrong frame, but Sam caught it early and had another one made for me. The install video is relatively good, anybody with a breaker bar and some small Torx sockets can do this install very easily. Just take your time and follow the steps (1. turn off screen 2. disconnect negative terminal from battery 3. disconnect main battery). Took delivery of 2018 Model 3 right before Valentine's Day in 2021. Ordered my ring with My Funny Valentine engraved inside the ring, Hurricane Ian dumped nearly 3' feet of water for 12 days, and my Tesla was totaled. On October 22, 2022, my replacement 2019 Model 3 arrived with only 24,000 miles, also cobalt blue. My ring needs its chip reprogramed. Very happy with the real carbon fiber center console. I first installed a 3M 2080 carbon fiber wrap on the console but I wasn't happy having a sticker covering the console. The real carbon fiber center console caps are so much more beautiful. I also like that it includes an empty area to allow the key card to work (real carbon fiber would block the key card from working). Very nice product. I initially installed a 3M 2080 Carbon Fiber wrap over the dash. It looked nice but the wrap is just a sticker and the wrap's carbon fiber weave can only be 2D. I wanted a true carbon fiber cap over the dash to get the 3d carbon fiber weave. The PimpMyEV carbon fiber dash cap (matte) was easy to install and looks incredible on my dash.
