Delivery was fast, unboxing was simple and easy. The actual installation was seamless with the hardest part being, where to route the positive and negative battery cables. Once that was done, everything operated just as it should and it looks good in the bumper system. Overall, a very easy install.

Plenty of hardware was provided to try to fit to my rack, but I still needed to make a run to the hardware store. There weren't any instructions, except for a video on the website that basically tells you to figure it out. The video also has a few differences from the product I received, so the installation ended up taking a while. Looks amazing and super easy to set up! The lights are a great feature and doesn't take much power to run them. The only "problem" I have is it was really easy to install so it would be easy for someone to potentially steal. I asked customer service and they said they were working on a quick mount!!! I am super satisfied with the purchase and am looking forward for new products!

Excellent product at a fantastic price! Provides shade for trade work in remote job sites as well as during leisure activities (hunting, fishing, and camping). Easily adaptable and robust enough to mount with quick disconnects (basic tools and mechanical ability). Impressed the whole family with its ease of deployment and packing up. I would buy it again for sure for other vehicles.

For Us this is next level camping, shade and coverage on the go, All seasons. Our experiences so far with the awning have been great. The 270 awning is so simple to set up, it’s ridged, light in weight and We especially love the 3 led light bars for night time, they illuminate very bright covering our back tailgate kitchen and side of the jeep. Now we can capture those special camping moments throughout the night.

Arrived fast with all part in the box. My install was replacing an old winch so it was extra easy, but I did notice that if it was a fresh install everything was marked to make it very easy to set up. Looks great on the Jeep. I hope I get stuck or find someone stuck to try it out a little more soon. That is definitely not something I have ever said before.

The Openroad 270 awning has far exceeded my expectations! It is extremely quick and easy to deploy and store, provides ample protection from the elements, and is light weight yet sturdy and robust. I love the space it creates at my camp sites, whether it is shade, shelter, or ambient lighting. I wouldn't change anything about it!

This winch seems to be of great quality. The instructions were clear, it went in easily, and I love that the wiring was pre installed. I know it’s not necessary, but I would’ve liked to see the winch come with an on/off switch. Past that, the only gripe I have is that I ordered a winch cover and it didn’t come with the winch. It took me longer to take my old awning off than it did to bolt the new one on. Setting it up for the first time with the walls was even faster than that. Tear down is even faster. It seems much sturdier than any other awning I have had on the trail and I love the built in LED lights.

Sure, it works great for SUVs... but this is OUTSTANDING for the Party Squad! We converted an old Mack fire engine into the ultimate tailgating rig and the awning is perfect for shading the two grills and flat screen TV! Thank you guys for an awesome product. Squad 17 is the talk of the town, and we are super stoked for high school, college, and NFL football in North Florida with the Funtastic Fire Brigade. We will likely outfit Ladder 17 next!

It’s been great for family trips and cover when cooking on the tailgate. Quality of the awning and ease of use is top of the market so the value is incredible for the price! Winch bolted right on, have not gotten to use it but looks to be great quality. Strap and shackles seem heavy duty. Only two issues I had was power cable wasn't quite long enough (but I made it work) and no tracking numbers sent. The winch was shipped separately from the other stuff.

My first order was for the 270 awning, after receiving it and witnessing the sturdy construction I was in the market for a new hard shell roof top tent, I decided to pull the plug after looking at a number of options and got the open road roof top tent and am not disappointed! The low profile, quality of construction is worth the wait ! Sleeps comfortable and is a well manufactured product that won’t disappoint!

Shipping was great, I messed up and ordered passenger side without forethought. Luckily Nicholas was willing and able to help me fix it! Thank you for all your understanding and assistance. The install went well, had to plan custom bracketing to attach to due to my roof rack style. The only thing I can think of is that maybe they should make extension/bracing plates like I made for the roof racks that use round tubing. Otherwise great! Now I just need to get pricing for the sidewalls separately

Installation was a breeze. I haven't tried the wired remote. The wireless worked great. I haven't pulled anything yet to test it's power but I think it will also be great. The winch cover fits snuggly, first thing I did to test that was running through the car wash the winch was completely dry after a three mile ride home.

Incredible product. I haven’t yet had the need to use it however, I have run it under load in a controlled environment and it performed just as well as any “high end” branded winch such as Warn but for a third the price. The wireless function is so easy to use, and the materials used are quality. I fully expect this winch to last me the life of my truck.

Love the awning. Only issue is the height my hatch opens to. So the awning stops the hatch from fully opening. No fault of the awning. Just the design of the hatch. Love the ease of set up and the freestanding set up. Options to drop the support poles and anchor out if windy or raining.

Install only took about 3 hours, with most of the time just getting the bumper off. Pretty much plug-and-play on my JLUR 4xe with OEM steel bumper. It would be nice if it came with options for a winch plate to mount it to, but a Rugged Ridge winch plate (got mine from Quadratec) is a perfect fit if you need it. Looks great, works without issue out of the box. Hopefully I never have to use it for real, but it's good to know it's there if I do ever need it. TL/DR: It's worth the $.

Shipping companies are the biggest problem for any business. They beat the crap out of a product. There is a few issues to deal with in there right on it dealing with it but overall it’s a very well built unit quick to open up and quick to close up when installing it just make sure and hold it far enough back so it will do a complete wraparound because of the Tent, metal rods that hold the awning on the tent out have to have enough room for the awning to swing all the way

Very well built packages very good. The delivery company was a little rough on the bottom of the package. Couple little dents on bottom from forklift did not see until I opened it up next day, but I can live with some people would not did a custom amount onto my Rhino Rack, had to Remove ladder clips and install them on Rhino Rack because ladder would not work rack was 4 inches wider on both sides then open road unit works very well. Haven’t been overlanding yet but I can tell you it takes 5 minutes to set up, it’s very low profile so the wind drag isn’t bad, it was shipped very well and had no damage. Took 4 guys to lift it on top of my FJ, the only thing that would be better was a thicker mattress, but thats just about all RTT’s, I plan on adding a thicker mattress.

I recently purchased a 2025 Gladiator Mojave X. I wanted to build an overland set up and began doing my research. I have purchased several OpenRoad products and have been beyond pleased with all of them. The customer service has been top notch. I started with the 13,500lb winch. Then purchased the truck cap and it will serve as the platform for the 270 degree awning and the eventual roof top tent. I loved the quality of the top and it will serve me well.

This awning is great! It does what i need it to do and it looks great too. The only issue is had is that the buckle/ladder lock broke so I couldn't tighten the strap that keeps the awning open. I was able to get it to work by tying it together. Emailed customer service and haven't heard anything back yet.
