I Bought this to help train my two dogs to stop barking when it wasn't warranted. I can't comment on the shock capabilities as I have never and hopefully will never need to use it. So far I have only used the Vibrate and the Noise functions which work great. The collars will go to sleep if the dog doesn't move but they wake up and are on once the dog moves, which saves the battery power.

These collars are fantastic. I purchased two of them for my dogs that have a problem with my next door neighbors dogs. The vast array of intensity levels for each setting is fantastic. Each dog responds differently to the different levels. They now know when they feel the vibration they need to stop, the beep means come back inside. The shock was used in the beginning when they would not respond to the vibration.
