These hutches were dark stained and screamed for updating. Chippy Barn’s Coal and Craftsman White filled the bill! Two coats of white and a black wash of Coal transformed these pieces. Top coated with Chippy Barn’s Satin on the inside and Matte on the outside.

First time using this paint and I am in love. I love how matte it dries without feeling rough or chalk like. The color is so deep and rich. I hand painted and didn’t have much trouble with brush lines, though I imagine rolling or spraying it on would produce an extremely smooth finish. I didn’t dilute with water at first but found the 10% dilution helped it go on more smoothly. I can’t wait to do more projects with this paint!

My husband built a table and bench for my MIL for Christmas. We wanted a soft white that would be on the warm-side but not overly creamy or with a yellow-tone. With Paige’s help, we picked out Modern Lace and it was perfect! A whole 32 ounce can covered the apron and legs of the table, bench, & 4 chairs we up-cycled for a total of 3 coats with a few ounces to spare for any touch ups. Paint went on smoothly with zero brush strokes. The paint also had a long working time which I appreciate.

I finished this eastlake mirror off with The Chippy Barn's lilac scented clear wax. I was assuming it would go on like any other clear wax I have used, but WOW what a difference! The Chippy Barn's specially wax is sooo silky! It doesn't leave that sticky feeling on your hands. It was so delightful to use and the fact it smells AMAZING is just an added bonus! After buffing it, it left the wood smooth and soft. Chippy Barn products for me from here on out!

Absolutely love The Chippy Barn paints! I was able to update this dresser for my son's room and it looks great. I used Winter's Blanket for the base and Avondale for the drawer fronts. Finally updated the pulls and it was done. The ultra tough topcoat made finishing this project a breeze and I know it will be able to withstand life with a six-year-old.
