The chewy crispy garlic, along with the dried black beans give this chili oil a nutty chewy flavour. It is a mild chilli, with just enough kick to know that you have chilli on the back of the throat.
I have this oil on lots of dishes. Eggs in the morning, all stir fry noodle dishes, and of course dumplings.
The oil elevates an ordinary stir fry to the next level.
It is now more a staple than any other sauce in my pantry. I just do not know how I lived without it.
