The bridge pin inserts are not a stand dimension. Had to fill in the body and redrill for the hipshot dimensions. It's a great product but it's just kind of goofy to not manufacture to standard specs. If you're putting this on a fresh body. You'll have no problems. But if you're installing on any strat style. You will have to fill and drill. Plays and sounds great.

Despite the pictures on this website, this bridge is not useable on an Epiphone Thunderbird vintage pro, in fact, it will damage your guitar if you try to install it. I'm sure it's fine on other models, but don't make the very expensive mistake I did.

Started off great, but the saddles began to wear on my unwounded strings - esp E, which caused me to break strings left and right. I’d file and buff them, but the more I did that, the softer the saddle got. Began to rotate them too, but that also became an issue, so I swapped them with titanium pressed saddles - no more broken strings. This last one is unnessary, but I’d love to upgrade it with an FU-Tone brass block, but I’m not confidant in the Hip-shot block being a replica of the USA two pin...

I recently installed this bridge on my Fernandes. The construction and locking features are really helpful. The only downside to this bridge is that the saddle only moves a very short distance. This can make setting intonation a pain. Especially on the B. I had to switch to a tapered B to get the intonation right. However the bridge is very well made and adds a lot of sustain and mass. Not to mention it looks very cool and unique!

I bought one of these on ebay for $60.00. I installed it on my Warmoth parts strat. I replaced an old Kahler vintage modern bridge I originally installed in the 80's. I must say I have never used a trem style bridge smoother or more responsive than this Hipshot unit. The tone is surprising considering it is a 2 post trem. I am truly impressed with the quality and value of this trem. Highly recommend it.

Precision machines that are a pleasure to use. The only way the pitch will change is the strings stretching. I would use these on any instrument.

I first installed one on a Fender MIM Fretless J-Bass, wow what an improvement! I then put one on my 72 Precision I've had for 30 years, why didn't I do this earlier! The stamped bridges have what I call a twang in their sound character that I don't care for. Twang is gone, great sustain and wonderful intonation. BTW, they look awesome too!

I got a set of these with staggered posts and the Universal Mounting Plate for my MIM Strat several of months ago. Very solid good looking tuners, just a few minutes to install, and the locks are invaluable for quick and simple string changes. This would be a five star review except for the claim that staggered posts make string trees redundant. After installing the tuners and removing my string tree, my high E started popping out - not because of any extreme picking or bending or popping or win...

As start-up bass builder I'm only using the Hipshot bridge on all my basses. This is the best bass bridge on the market, the only thing is to change the angle of the string spacing locking screw... If this one feature would be done, than the bridge would be more than perfect!

Bought from Guitar Parts Resource for my new SG special Bass. The stock bridges are lacking to say the least. I don't get why Gibson continues to use the old 3 point design but that's another issue for another time. These would be a needed upgrade regardless of sonic improvement possibilities which is how I approached my purchase. Installation is easy and simple, I think it took me about 3 minutes including removing the old bridge. Only hassle was having to rummage around finding an Allen wrench...
