I've used my #birdiealarm for a year now but a few months ago, mine and the one I purchased as a gift to my husband had some issues even after a battery change. The customer service quickly responded to my concern and sent replacement. The other three alarms I gave to my friend and my mom were ok so it was probably a manufacturer's defect. I will recommend this product to more friends and family!

I got the pleasure of hearing its super loud chirp (and all the immediate stares) when I went to pull my purse out of the cart and birdie got stuck and disconnected from the base. Worth it! I was looking for something(besides pepper spray) that I could carry when I get off work late or walking late at night. I bought three for myself and my mom and aunt. I live in LA where a lot happens, I feel safer having the birdie with me when I'm running or walking my dog alone. I also feel more at ease knowing that my aunt has a tool since she lives alone. I love the brass ring that comes with it and the screw-lock is easy to work with. I haven't been in a situation where I've had to use it, but I definitely feel safer with it!
