I purchased my first Birdie for my 8th grade daughter to carry during her class trip to D.C. it gave her peace of mind while traveling to a new place. We then bought 3 more to give to her best friends now that they are going to high school and will be having a bit more independence. Haven’t had to use my birdie yet (luckily) but I am definitely comfortable enough with it to actually use the dang thing. I wish the keychain wasn’t held by the pin that is pulled for action.. I want to hold it on my keys but worry I’ll set it off at random. Otherwise, I love my birdie. I gifted my sister with one.. she loves it too.

I am so glad I purchased The Birdies. I practiced pulling the pin out and there is just enough resistance that it won't pull out accidentally, but easy enough to pull out when needed. It is easy to push back in. It is loud enough to cause quite an alarm...highly doubtful someone would stick around... I have one on my key ring and one on my hiking backpack. Highly recommended!

I have given Birdies to my girls and several friends. I like to know they are safe. If the time comes where they feel threatened or unsafe, I know the alarm chirping and strobe in their birdies will ward off any altercation. It will also alert others .
