Stencil came in packaged well. Stencil was perfect to line up with union board. small issue when using the Dremel router was that the angle area on the bit would cause a small lip on the stencil to form. Which would cause the Dremel to grab the surface. Easily removed with some sand paper. over time and uses I think that issue will go away. Very happy with the stencil in a while. Will defiantly recommend to other people making flags.

Stencil was great, fit the union perfectly! I used a dremel with the 106 bit as recommended and it did a fine job. Wanted to preserve the natural color of the stars, so applied 3 coats of polycrylic clear gloss to the entire flag.

I haven’t used my new IN GOD WE TRUST template but the other templates I have received from them are incredible ! This stencil is solid. I have purchased stencils for 2,3 and 4 foot flags as well as the 1776 flag. Definitely makes carving the stars painless. All orders shipped quickly. Would definitely recommend!

Did the 2’ flag build. Took a couple times(On some scrap wood)getting the bit depth right on the Dremel but after that was dialed in……it was a breeze!!! Tip: they said to lightly sand the edges of the stars after….I put a little “burn” on those stars and the little fuzz torched right off!! Not to close with the flame but close enough! This turned out WAY better than I thought! I have wanted one of these for a long time to engrave the stars. It exceeded my expectations and my flag turned out awes...

Great product! Makes it easy to carve great looking stars. As they suggest, go as shallow as you can to avoid upper layers of wood curling up and out beyond the sides of the stars. I’ve ordered the stencil for the 36” union on Amazon and will be ordering the 48” stencil next. Thank you!

same great product as the star field, end result was great. I do hit the edges and both sides with a flap-wheel before use to make sure there's no tiny burrs, I use a dremel tool with a "router" base, that might hang the base up.

It took a few days for me to get to my first flag project after receiving the 2' template but I am extremely happy with the quality of this item. This makes it relatively easy to use my dremel to carve out 50 stars. I have hung this first flag in my shop. My son Zack made this 36" flag and presented it to a local fire department to thank them for their service and for allowing him to volunteer during a fire dept. fundraiser so he could earn hours for school. The template worked great. Zack traced each star in white pencil and then used a dremmel tool to cut them out. Looks great! Next time we will try using a dremmel tool with a depth guide so we can use the template while we cut with the dremmel tool. Eric Marquess

However, when I contacted them about the issue Jordan and Tim got on it quick and sent me another flag so I could get it to my customer who is a current Soldier in our military. The stencil worked just like it is supposed to. Not only does it give you a clear outline of a very even star, because you are sliding the Dremel router attachment on a very thick and straight piece of steel, the stars also have a very even depth and flat bottom.

Had the idea to use the steel flag as the face for a hidden gun cabinet. Used the Krylon Hammered Black like in your video and the Gorilla double sided tape as well. Opens with a key card or fob.

The colors just popped out. Used red oak for the wood backboard. The tacks didn't work so well in the oak on the top and bottom of the flag (bent four). The tacks worked fine on the sides (end grain).
