I washed them on a delicate cycle; air dried for a day and put them on a short cycle to dry. I pressed them with a warm iron and they look amazing! The rug is beautiful, just like the pictures. It does have a rough surface spot approximately 2X2 inches but I can live with it. The rest of the rug is very soft. Also, this rug has some cushioning that makes it comfortable to be on. Overall I was very pleased with rug but wish I would have gotten the 5X7 instead of the 4X6.
