Grade 3/4 class was given the opportunity to create an informative report through term 3. I used the text ‘Platypus’ as a mentor text to introduce the fluency and voice traits of the written text. The students loved the text (easy reading and the bright, colourful pictures). It gave the students many ideas to produce their own reports.
