Very solid structure. One day after I received it a new ad came out stating a new version was now available and you could replace the carpet. Suggest you come up with a way for owners of the old version to replace the carpet.

The cats took to the scratch board right away, and it looks great! The fabric started fraying quite quickly, so I am not sure how it will hold up.
