Man, with off road wheels this thing flies. I highly recommend starting on a lower gear EVERY TIME you are getting on after not riding for an hour or more because the motor neurons you need are not ready to fire as fast as the motors and battery are even if skilled, usually takes at least a few moments to get used to it and in the zone. Not the most fancy pictures but I really highly recommend this board! Plenty of power, range, easy to maneuver, and a blast to ride. Installed pretty easily and my board started working great again. Battery is solid. Couple things that could make the experience a little smoother. I wasn’t sent a video on what to do, so I had to figure it out. Very simple but just hoped I didn’t mess things up. Second thing is that there is nothing else there to secure the battery in the holder. I would love some suggestions on things to use to glue the battery into place so it doesn’t rattle in the case. OMG I HIGHLY recommend this upgrade! So much smoother than belt drive. You can "feel" the much tighter coupling between the motor and the wheel. And it's quieter. Braking is smoother too. No more worries about snapped belts, especially while descending a steep downhill so it makes the board safer. Oh, and go with the 175mm pneumatic wheels and DKP trucks. I had the Mini 3 my kid has the Mini 3 SL. We just did the Golden Gate Park just about 6 miles back and forth. Coming from the beach was a slight inclined most of the way. Our feet started hurting, maybe we are just getting used to riding the boards. We took breaks but finally went all the way back. My first electric longboard. The range of the board is impressive. I did ride over 400 km so far. I never dared going over 35km/h so the board is fast enough for me. I wish the acceleration and braking was a bit smoother. Sometimes I get off balance and you always need to be gentle with the throttle. I was worried I might be bothered by the sound of the motor, but it is pretty quiet, it actually sounds cool and I don’t notice it while riding. I enjoy taking short rides out in the countryside. Ive already put 110 miles on the board in the week I’ve had it and I have no complaints. It is very powerful and has good range, I go about 11.5 miles averaging about 23 mph to and from work on it everyday. I did buy the $50 more expensive battery though.
