The IPS screen was packed very well and the installation was easy to do once you prepared the mainboard for installation beforehand. The screen itself is really bright, even brighter than an AGS-101 backlit Gameboy Advance. The viewing angles are really wide, so you'll always have a good view of the game image. Definitely well worth the money as it is a giant step up from the regular light reflective screen on the original Game Boy Color.

Installed the IPS v2 screen inside a brand new white colored GBC case. The pre-cut parts were almost correct, I had to trim off a little bit more on the left side of the screen bezel inside the case, but other than that, the screen was a perfect fit inside the pre-cut case.

It is excellent. It's a real difference maker. I'm playing games that I wouldn't have played on the original dark screen. It did take a long time to arrive because there was an issue. My order wasn't processed perhaps because I ordered it as a guest without making an account, or perhaps because of the pandemic that is happening. I don't know why but it was fixed eventually and I would order again. Thanks guys.

Extremely high quality both screen image and build materials. My only complaint is that the screen is a bit slow to "turn off" the pixels. For example, is you have a black screen with some text showing, when you scroll the text you can still see the "shadow" of the previous line fading for a couple seconds. Nothing major though.

The installation is simple. The most dificult for me was the hinges, but the second console was easier. Pro: Vivid colors, contrast, not tearing, not blurry. Five levels of brightness. Cons: Battery duration is low. I would like them to also sell batteries with greater charge capacity

I purchased two of these, one through FunnyPlaying and the other through RetroGaming! They were a christmas presents for my girls we rebuilt two Gameboy Advance SPs and the results were amazing! And the girls 10 and 12 really enjoyed doing the install! Thanks for making an excellent product!

Amazing product at a decent price!! Although if you have any problems, getting a hold of customer service is rough. They take over a week to reply if they do at all and the orders take quite a while to be processed. Over all a good experience and will order more from funnyplaying.

This is an excellent product! It only took 10 days to ship to Germany with the ordinary shipping method and was packed very well. The brightness is unbelievable, colors are great and spot on. SO AWESOME!!!! You can barely tell these are repos, the quality is amazing and they play great!! The box isn't as sturdy of a material as my Funnyplaying custom GBA but it's still worth every penny. Thank you Funnyplaying.com I will be making many more purchases!!!!

Modding my original GBA was easy with this kit. I couldn't be more happy. Also it's worth noting the screen didn't have as big of an impact on battery life as I thought.

New shell was great and easy to install. I saw other screenshots where sometimes the case wouldn't close tightly, this was not the case with my shell. Looks great! Color was fantastic too.

The purple gba has the ips lcd v2 and the spice orange has the old ags 101 lcd. The difference is amazing!!! The new ips lcd is much better and easy to install!

Got the screen kit, along with my shell and buttons today (03/20/20). The screen is nice and bright and has great viewing angles. I would recommend to anyone who's into modding and is interested in the GBA.

I absolutely love this product ! The build is well made, buttons gives a good response. The screen is very sharp, the colours are vivid! Just as good as every reviews of ips v.2 says it is ❤. When I got my unit there was some issues! Funny playing provided excellent support and service! In my point of view they are the best! I'm gladly buying more from them in the future!

I love this console in every possible way ! It is so tiny and the display is bright, maybe a little bit small but it's the most portable console I know. My favorite things are the buttons, so clickish and colorful <3 It has only one minor flaws, it has like this dirt that seems glue on the inside, that's kind of strange but you can't notice that when playing or in any other time.

This is the easiest Gameboy modification I've ever made. The entire mod didn't take more than 30 minutes. I really like how my NES GBA SP turned out. The IPS v2 for this handheld is simply a masterpiece. Colours are vibrant, the screen is super bright and much more warm than AGS-101. Five levels of brightness work like a charm. There is neither screen tearing nor ghosting. I strongly recommend Funnyplaying and I'm going to buy another screen in the near future! Keep up the good work 🙂

It works good didnt really have the tools to do the mod. I'm over seas and spend some free time on fixing broke gbas. Graphics are way better than a 001 screen thanks for making this product. The play time is low at around 4hrs for now due to me not having a solder iron

Very easy install with outrageous visual results. This is without soldering for brightness control, but I can't imagine needing it. The screen is plenty bright and crisp.

This is, by far, my favorite backlight mod so far. No loss in screen size, bright and vibrant colors. The refresh rate is fantastic. I actually have a tutorial on how to install this on my Youtube channel: SpeedDemon8706. This is the 2nd kit I've purchased. I do have an issue with the touch sensor for the brightness adjuster, but there's an easy work around that doesn't require any modifications. I would highly recommend this product.

Very nice overall, my only complaint is the battery cover squeaks every time I touch it. Other than that, it fit perfectly for the ips screen, and was easy to work with.

I think you need to take the time to process these screens before sending them out, as mine was put on wonky. One side of the laminated screen is way higher than the other. Now I don’t know if this was a manufacturer issue or QA but I’ll order another one and see what I get. I’ll give you a full review after I’ve installed the new screen. The first attempt I’m not happy with as I feel that I wasted £37 and hours getting it to fit.

Decent case, a bit "lighter" and rougher than Nintendo's. Pre-cut for the larger screen and works fine. Feels a little cheaper than Nintendo's, but I can't imagine that actually being a problem.

Well, that's actually a great deal. A new glass screen is also in the pack. Unfortunately, I would've put five stars but there's no installation instruction (I'm talking about how to plug everything right, I had to go back on the website and look at the photo product). Otherwise, GREAT!

I've waited a whole year for a good backlight kit to be available. After hearing about this full sized display kit, I decided to splurge on it. Installation was easy, and it works incredibly well! I found that the display needs to be aligned in the upper-right corner of the screen housing, and it's held in place with a foamcore spacer I cut. 10/10, would recommend!

Buttons are a bit "harder" and glossier than Nintendo's stock buttons. They fit and work fine, but do feel slightly different. Played mine for about 60 hours since installing without any problems.
