I have thick curley hair and the typical hair band slides off and lifts the back of my hair by my neck, I have tried all types. This band, although a bit more expensive, did the trick. The band stays in place, does not cause pressure around my temples, my hair lays down naturally without the lift in the back from a typical head band.
